ASSISTANT BRANCH MERCHANDISER

We are currently looking for an assistant branch merchandiser to join our busy merchandising team. This newly created position reports directly into the Merchandising Director and reflects the exciting growth of the business. Overseeing the Allocation team and acting as a key interface between Buying and Merchandising, Logistics and Retail you will also work closely with the Merchandising Director to evolve best practice across the key functions of the business, This role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to become a key player within the Head Office Team.

RESPONSIBILITES
Space Planning
• Analyses stores space and sales performance to establish forward store space plans for each Brand under the guidance of the Merchandise Director.
New, Modernised & Closed Stores
• Ensures critical path for new, modernised or closed stores is established and they are included in the planning process
Performance Reporting
• Interprets branch performance reporting, highlighting key trading patterns and performance indicators for Merchandise Director to review
Allocation & Logistics
• Oversee the allocation team under the guidance of the Merchandise Director.
• Evolving current allocation Best Practice (replenishment, initial allocation strategies, etc)
• Conducting formal fortnightly meetings with Area Managers, Merchandise Director and relevant allocator to discuss store performance and highlight any ongoing issues.

ESSENTIAL
• Excellent communicator
• Experience of allocation and understanding of stock management
• Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel
• Demonstrates understanding of current performance and company strategy to influence decision making.
• Strong time management skills with ability to prioritise and deliver timely results.
• Ability to read financial reports and summarise/highlight relevant key information
• Commitment to going the 'extra mile' when team workloads and deadlines demand
• Customer focused.

ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER

We are currently looking for an assistant merchandiser to join our busy merchandising team. The role will involve assisting with the management and coordination of activities within the merchandising department, working closely with the Merchandiser, Allocation and Buying teams.

RESPONSIBILITES
• Daily management of the Range Plans for both areas, and keeping them up to date with new styles, sales info, commitment and cancellations.
• Updating and management of the line flows for all areas weekly. This includes phasing stock, forecasting repeats and amending any price changes.
• Assisting the Merchandiser with analysing sales information for the planning meetings.
• Responsible for forecasting quantities for new orders and repeats. Raising repeat sheets with relevant size ratios.
• Updating WSSI with sales, commitment and forward planned intake.
• Responsibility clearance stores - including WSSI, organising deliveries, actioning price changes and reporting trade.
• Weekly management of the bag match department which includes deliveries ensuring that the ordered quantities are in line with what ladies have ordered and how we feel the bag will do, plus amending changes that are made i.e. colour and quantities.

ESSSENTIAL

ASSISTANT BUYER

THE ROLE
We are currently looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our busy Buying team. At The Dune Group you will be able to use your passion for footwear and fashion, to gain and develop a keen and commercial eye for the product. You will assist the buyer in the sourcing and development of a balanced product range which meets planned deadlines through effective management of the supply chain.

RESPONSIBILITES • Liaise with suppliers on a day to day basis, ensuring excellent communication and follow through
• Monitor the product cycle with regards to the development, confirmation samples and orders’ negotiations.
• Understand trading figures and their impact on the business, showing initiative on trade and putting forward recommendations to the Buyer.
• Demonstrate an excellent commercial awareness and to be aware of the other retailer activity and how this can affect Dune.
• Manage the BAA to ensure all priorities are met and developed needs addressed, while also highlighting own development needs.
